Monica Lounsbery's career in higher education spans over two decades. She has held academic and administrative roles with California State University, Long Beach and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Prior to her current role as provost of Oakland University, Dr. Rios-Ellis served the California State University system for over 25 years, holding faculty and leadership positions with the Long Beach and Monterey Bay campuses.
Shivani Bothra is the inaugural Bhagwan Suvidhinath Endowed Chair in Jain Studies in the department of religious studies at California State University, Long Beach. Mary Sandoval was named the Seabury Professor of Mathematics and Natural Philosophy at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and Gail Randolph was appointed a Provost Professor at Florida A&M University.
Dr. Smith taught at Long Beach City College, Grossmont Community College, San Diego City College, and San Diego State University. At San Diego State, she taught courses in writing & rhetoric, African American studies, and teacher education courses.
Michelle Piskulich was named provost and vice president for academic affairs at Molloy Collge in Rockville Center, New York, and Karyn Scissum Gunn was appointed provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at California State University, Long Beach.
Dr. Cuenca was awarded the 2021 Van Courtlandt Elliott Prize from the Medieval Academy of America. The award recognizes an outstanding first published article in the field of medieval studies.
During her previous tenure at the university, Dr. Foster initially served as a professor of health and human performance, gymnastics coach, and women’s athletic director. She later was appointed athletic director and chair of the health and human performance department. She also served as interim chancellor for 10 months.
