Susan Gilbertz has been appointed the interim dean of the College of Business at Montana State University. Brietta Clark is the new Fritz B. Burns Dean of Loyola Marymount University Law School in California and Sarah Gordon is the new dean of the Graduate College at Arkansas Tech University.
The new deans are Miko Rose at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Tracy Cole at Arkansas Tech University, Marcy Kelly at Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York, and Joyce Alexander at the University of Alabama.
Dr. Bowen became the twelfth president of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville in July 2014. She was not only the institution’s first woman president but also was the first woman to lead any state-operated four-year university in the state of Arkansas.
Taking on new assignments are Kanako Okuda at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, Imani N. S. Munyaka at the University of California, San Diego, Debora Halbert at the University of Hawai'i System, Libby V. Morris at the University of Georgia, Phillis Isabella Sheppard at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and Julie A. Furst-Bowe at Arkansas Tech University.
Sudha Setty has been named the next dean of the City University of New York Law School. Kathryn Elizabeth Angell will be the next dean of the University of Michigan’s School of Social Work and Sarah Gordon will serve as interim dean of the Graduate College at Arkansas Tech University.
The four women granted emerita status at Arkansas Tech University are Paula Pendergrass in biology, Patricia Roach in education, Elizabeth Salmeri in education, and Rebecca Shopfner in teaching, learning, and leadership.
Lisa Tyson has been named dean of the College of Adult and Graduate Studies at Evangel University and Dana L. Fox has been named dean of the Arkansas Tech University Graduate College.
When Robin E. Bowen becomes president of Arkansas Tech University in July, she not only will be the institution's first president but will be the first woman to lead any state-operated four-year university in the state of Arkansas.
