Jeanine Stewart Appointed Provost at McDaniel College

McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland, has announced that it has selected Jeanine S. Stewart as its next provost. Dr. Stewart will also serve as dean of the faculty. She will take office on July 1. McDaniel College enrolls approximately 3,000 students, about equally divided between undergraduate and graduate programs.
Since 2008, Dr. Stewart has served as the chief academic officer of Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Previously, she was professor of psychology and neuroscience at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
A native of Newport, Rhode Island, Dr. Stewart is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. She earned a Ph.D. in neuroscience at the University of Virginia.
