Wendy Duncan Chosen as the Next Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Drake University

WendyDuncan-178x250Wendy Duncan has been appointed dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She will take on her new role on June 1. She has been serving as vice president of academic affairs and dean of pharmacy at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in Missouri. Previously, she served on the faculty at the University of Toronto and was associate dean for education and director of the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment at the Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University.

“Drake has so much to offer: collegiality, excellence, and innovation, and I am excited to bring knowledge, skills, and passion that truly complement what the College hopes to achieve,” Dr. Duncan said. “My conversations with the Drake community have only reinforced my conviction that genomics, educational innovation, an exciting health sciences program, and practice- and education-focused entrepreneurialism are emerging seeds of distinction.”

Dr. Duncan holds a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in pharmaceutics from the University of Toronto.
