Three Women in New Teaching Positions

warner-andrea-2013-01 Andrea Warner-Czyz is a new assistant professor in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas. She has spent the last seven years as a post-doctoral researcher and instructor at the university.

Dr. Czyz is a graduate of the University of Illinois. She earned a master’s degree in audiology from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in clinical science from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She holds a Ph.D. in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Texas at Austin.

dashwebJulie Dash was named to the 2013 Bob Allison Endowed Chair in Media at Wayne State University in Detroit. She is spending the current semester teaching two courses in the department of communication. Her film Daughters of the Dust, was the first movie in general theatrical release that had an African American woman director.

Dash is a graduate of the City University of New York. She holds a master of fine arts degree in film and television production from the University of California at Los Angeles.

meganshepherdMegan Shepherd is a new clinical assistant professor in the department of large animal clinical sciences at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been serving as a resident in clinical nutrition at the college.

Dr. Shepherd is a graduate of Virginia Tech and earned a doctorate in veterinary medicine at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
