Patricia Chase to Lead the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy

Patricia Chase, dean of the School of Pharmacy at West Virginia University in Morgantown, has been named president-elect of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. Beginning in July, Dr. Chase will serve for one year as president-elect and then become president of the association in 2014. The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy represents 129 accredited pharmacy schools across the United States. Dr. Chase will be the third faculty member from West Virginia University to serve as president of the association.
Dr. Chase holds a bachelor’s degree from Albany College of Pharmacy. She earned a master’s degree from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Colorado.
