The Next President of Sullivan County Community College in New York

Karin Hilgersom has been approved as the next president of Sullivan County Community College in Loch Sheldrake, New York, a campus of the State University of New York system. The college enrolls about 1,700 students in degree programs and women make up 58 percent of the student body.
Since 2010, Dr. Hilgersom has been serving as vice president for instruction at Central Oregon Community College in Bend. Previously, she was executive vice president of instruction at Walla Walla Community College in Washington State and dean of arts and science at Spokane Community College. She will take her new post on February 18.
Dr. Hilgersom is a graduate of California State University. She holds a master’s degree in rhetoric and communication and an educational doctorate from the University of Oregon.
