Rebecca Hill has been appointed senior associate dean for academic affairs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She comes to her new role from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, where she currently serves as associate dean of academic affairs in the School of Nursing. She also works as a nurse practitioner in emergency medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Hill holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Rhode Island, a master’s degree in nursing and a doctor of nursing practice degree from Duke University, and a Ph.D. in nursing from Boston College.
Karin Vinson has been appointed general counsel and director of government affairs at Fort Valley State University in Georgia. She has previously held several roles with the university including compliance coordinator, Title IX coordinator, and contracts and open records officer. She has nearly two decades of experience in the legal field.
Vinson is a summa cum laude graduate of Fort Valley State University, where she majored in political science. She holds a juris doctorate from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta.
Kathleen E. Boin has been named associate dean of students at Emory University in Atlanta. She has over 15 years of higher education leadership experience, most recently serving as senior associate dean and director of student support services at Brown University in Rhode Island. Earlier in her career, she was director of student outreach and support in student affairs at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Boin received her bachelor’s degree in religious studies from the College of Wooster in Ohio and her master’s degree in counseling from Michigan State University.

Dr. Maxeiner is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she majored in physical therapy. She holds a master’s degree in adult education and a doctorate from Northern Illinois University.

Bloemer is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she double-majored in theatre and politcal science. She holds a master’s degree in arts administration and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati.

Goldsberry is a graduate of Peru State College in Nebraska, where she majored in business administration. She holds a master of public administration degree and a master’s degree in management information systems from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
