A Milestone Appointment at Georgia Tech

Jane Chumley Ammons was appointed chair of the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and System Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is the first woman named to a school chair at Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering.
Dr. Ammons has been serving as a professor and associate dean for faculty affairs at the college since 2004. In 1982 she was the first woman to receive a Ph.D. from Georgia Tech’s School of Industrial and System Engineering and she was the first woman to join the school’s faculty.
