Seven Women Appointed to Administrative Posts at Colleges and Universities

Swapna Hingwe has been appointed director of counseling and psychiatric services at Michigan State University. She has been a psychiatric staff member with the university since 2009 and also serves as the psychiatric specialist for the eating disorder treatment team for student health and wellness.

Dr. Hingwe is a three-time graduate of Michigan State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in counseling psychology, and a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree.

Marci Gracey has been named associate vice president and institutional equity officer at the University of Oklahoma. She has held the role on an interim basis for the past six months. Prior to her interim appointment, she was an attorney in the university’s Office of Legal Counsel for three years.

Gracey received her bachelor’s degree in history from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, a master’s degree in history from Oklahoma State University, and a juris doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.

Laura Jacobs has been appointed senior director of philanthropic initiatives at the University of Arkansas. For the past eight years, she served as the university’s chief of staff. Earlier in her career, she served as associate vice chancellor of university relations.

Dr. Jacobs is a three-time graduate of the University of Arkansas, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English and communication, as well as her master’s degree and Ph.D. in higher education administration.

Rosanna Ferro has been named vice president for student affairs at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. She currently serves as the inaugural chief of education at College Track, a nonprofit organization that specializes in helping low-income students complete their bachelor’s degrees.

Dr. Ferro received her bachelor’s degree in sociology and Spanish, a master’s degree in social work, and a doctorate all from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Lorri Saddler has been named vice president and chief alumni engagement officer at Clark Atlanta University. She previously served the university as vice president of alumni relations and engagement. Earlier in her tenure, she was the associate vice president and dean of undergraduate admissions.

Dr. Saddler earned a bachelor’s degree in hotel management from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She holds an MBA with a concentration in marketing and a doctorate in higher education leadership from Clark Atlanta University.

Kristen Glass Perez has been appointed university chaplain in the Center for Interfaith and Spiritual Life at George Washington University. She comes to her new role from Northwestern University in Illinois, where she was the university chaplain and executive director of religious and spiritual life. She previously held similar roles with Augustana College in Illinois and Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania.

Glass Perez is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota, where she majored in speech communication with minors in French and women’s studies.

Nicole Marin has been promoted to vice president of administrative services at Mendocino College in Ukiah, California. Prior to her new role, she served as the college’s director of human resources.

Marin holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from California State University, Fresno and an MBA from California State University, Sacramento.
