Dr. Clark passed away on May 5 following complications from a being shot during an incident on the Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology's campus in California three days earlier. She was a dean at the college and a three-time graduate of Clark Atlanta University.

A senior instructor of mathematics at Spelman College in Atlanta, Wilson was found deceased on February 9 at Lake Oconee after an empty boat was found circling the lake.

Parks served as an instructor and director with Hendricks Chapel at Syracuse University for over two decades.

Since 2020, Dr. Eanes has served as president of York College of the City University of New York. She served as vice president for student affairs at California State University, Fullerton from 2012 to 2019. Earlier, Dr. Eanes was vice president of student affairs at John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York.

The four women appointed provosts are Sheryl A. Tucker at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Elizabeth Skompat Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, Charlene D. Gilbert at Clark Atlanta University in Georgia, and Christina Schnyders at Malone University in Canton, Ohio.

The Early Career Teaching Excellence Award is given to one faculty member each year from among the 138 member institutions in the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health. The award recognizes faculty for outstanding teaching and mentoring of students in public health research, teaching, and practice.

Hyeyoung Lim, 0f the University of Alabama at Birmingham has been named president of the Korean Society of Criminology in America. Talitha Washington of Clark Atlanta University will lead the Association for Women in Mathematics and Kathy M. Sherman-Morris of Mississippi State University is the new president of the National Weather Association.
