Zhabiz Golkar has been appointed as the Jessie Dorsey Endowed Chair Professor at Voorhees University in Denmark, South Carolina. She has been a faculty member with the university since 2014, currently serving as a professor of biology and dean of the School of Science, Technology, Health, and Human Services.
Dr. Golkar earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, a master’s degree in clinical microbiology, and a doctoral degree in molecular biology from the University of Karachi in Pakistan.
Eimear Clowry Delaney has been named the Michael J. Smurfit Director of Norte Dame Dublin. In this role, she will oversee the University of Notre Dame’s academic initiatives in Ireland. She has been with the university since 2008, most recently serving as senior associate director for Norte Dame Dublin.
Delaney holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies and a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Dublin City University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in education from the same institution.
Henrika McCoy has been appointed as a professor of social work and the Morris Endowed Dean of the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Denver. She comes to her new role from the University of Texas at Austin, where she served as an associate professor of social work and the Ruby Lee Piester Centennial Fellow in Services to Children and Families.
Dr. McCoy is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where she double-majored in African and African American studies and sociology. She holds a master of social work degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a master of jurisprudence degree in child and family law from Loyola University Chicago, and a Ph.D. in social work from Washington University.
Jennifer Gaither, a lawyer by training, has been a Sullivan University faculty member for the past 25 years. She most recently served as the university's associate provost.
Dr. Crowley has served as provost at Ohio Wesleyan University since 2020. She is slated to become the nineteenth president of Kalamazoo College on July 1.
The three women named to provost positions are Nancy Marchand-Martella at the University of Northern Colorado, Lise Youngblade at Colorado State University, and Randi Storch at Western Oregon University.
Although it was initially founded as school for women, the University of Montevallo has never had a woman president. Now the university has reached a historic milestone and selected selected Michelle R. Johnston to serve as its next president.
The selected candidate should have expertise and experience in theoretical models in labor and public economics as well as in microeconometrics and programming.
