Amanda Minervini has been promoted to associate professor of Italian with tenure at Colorado College, where she serves as chair of the Paul F. Sheffer Fund for Roman Catholic Studies Committee and founding director of the Equine-Guided Learning and Healing Experience. Her research interests include fascism, religion and politics, diversity in Italian cultures, race theory, film and documentary, Holocaust representations, political theory, and animal studies
Dr. Minervini is an honors graduate of the Universita’ di Bari in Italy where she studied literature and philosophy. She received her master’s degree in comparative literature from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her Ph.D. in Italian studies from Brown University.
Krista Clark has been named associate dean of academic affairs at the University of Cincinnati’s Clermont College where she has worked for nearly two decades. She serves as a professor of biology and previously chaired the college’s science and health department for nine years.
Dr. Clark holds a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University in Indiana and a Ph.D. in biology from Kansas State University.
Katie Rohwer has been named assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at Arkansas Tech University. She most recently served as associate director of choirs at Eastern Michigan University. Earlier in her career she taught choral music at Lakeshore High School in Michigan.
Dr. Rohwer is a graduate of Western Michigan University where she majored in choral music education and vocal performance. She holds a master of music degree and doctor of musical arts degree in choral conducting from the University of Michigan.
Hannah Hammel Maser has joined the faculty at the Cleveland Institute of Music on a permanent basis. As principal flutist in the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, she has frequently taught at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a guest instructor. Previously, she held a teaching appointment with Michigan State University.
Hammel Maser is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio where she majored in flute performance with a minor in music theory. She holds a master’s degree in flute performance from Rice University in Texas.
Dorota A. Grejner-Brzezinska has been named vice chancellor for research at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Grejner-Brzezinska has been with Ohio State University for over three decades, currently serving as vice president for knowledge enterprise and professor of civil, environmental, and geodetic engineering. She also leads the National Science Foundation’s Engineering Research Visioning Alliance.
Dr. Grejner-Brzezinska received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in surveying engineering and land management systems from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Poland. She holds a second master’s degree and Ph.D. in geodetic science from Ohio State University.
Nikki Crowley has been appointed director of the Pennsylvania State University Neuroscience Institute. She joined the faculty at Penn State in 2016 as an assistant professor of biology and biomedical engineering. She also serves as the Huck Early Career Chair in Neurobiology and Neural Engineering.
Dr. Crowley holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from James Madison University in Virginia, a master’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and a Ph.D. in neurobiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Dotson spent six years as president of Yuba College in California. Earlier, she served eight years as a senior administrator with Clover Park Technical College in Washington.
Dr. Shah is the Ursula Geller Distinguished Professor of Research in Cardiovascular Diseases and associate dean for translational research at the Duke University School of Medicine. She will serve as president-elect of the American Heart Association in 2026–2027, followed by a one-year term as president in 2027–2028.
Dr. Batten will become interim president of Horry-Georgetown Technical College on August 1. She most recently served as the two-year college's vice president for student affairs.
Dr. Kahanov became the twentieth president of Notre Dame de Namur University in California on July 1. She previously served as provost at Alvernia University in Pennsylvania, Stockton University in New Jersey, and SUNY Oneonta.
Most recently, Dr. Sanders served as vice president of experiential product management and interim vice president of product and technology at Western Governors University.
