Julie Shah has been appointed head of the department of aeronautics and astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She currently serves as the H.N. Slater Professor in Aeronautics and Astronautics, director of the Interactive Robotics Group in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab, and director of the Industrial Performance Center.
Dr. Shah is a three-time graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering, as well as her Ph.D. in autonomous systems.
Jessica Kisunzu has been promoted to associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry with tenure at Colorado College where she has taught since 2017. She is currently researching the formation and application of benzynes and other highly strained and reactive aromatic alkynes.
Dr. Kisunzu is a graduate of Southern Adventist University in Tennessee where she majored in chemistry. She holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
Ibipo Johnston-Anumonwo has been named Distinguished Professor in the department of geography at State University of New York at Cortland. Her academic career has focused on urban geogrpahy, feminist geography, and equity and social justice.
Dr. Johnston-Anumonwo is a graduate of the University of Ibadan in Nigeria where she majored in teacher education. She holds a master of education degree with a concentration in international development from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in geography from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Dr. Ketcham is a graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where she majored in biology. She holds a master’s degree and doctorate in exercise science and motor control from Arizona State University.

Dr. Husic received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Northern Michigan University and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Michigan State University.

Dr. Goodman is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in English. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in comparative literature from New York University.
