The School of Architecture at the University of Hawaii Manoa is welcoming two women to its faculty.
Judith Stilgenbauer was named an associate professor. She is the first tenure-track landscape architect in the university’s history. At the University of Hawaii, she will develop a graduate program in landscape architecture. Professor Stilgenbauer holds degrees in landscape architecture from the Technical University of Munich in Germany and the University of California at Berkeley.
Maria Simon is a new assistant professor of architecture. With extensive experience in private practice, she has taught at Lawrence Technological University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Simon is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and holds a master’s degree in architecture from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
With more than 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Richtermeyer has spent the past three years as executive vice chancellor for academic affairs and provost at Rutgers University-Camden
Cheryl Norman was appointed president of Ridgewater College in Minnesota and Ellen Kennedy was named interim president of Cape Cod Community College in Massachusetts.
