Suzanne Keen Named Co-Editor of Contemporary Women’s Writing

Suzanne Keen, the Thomas H. Broadus Professor of English and interim dean of the college at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, was named co-editor of the journal Contemporary Women’s Writing. The journal is published by Oxford University Press and won the Best New Journal Award in 2009 from the Council of Editors of Learned Journals.

The journal is published three times a year and offers critical assessments of writing by women from the 1970s to the present day.

Dr. Keen has been at Washington and Lee University since 1995. She previously served on the faculty at Yale University. Professor Keen is a graduate of Brown University and holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. in English language and literature from Harvard University.
