Hilary Link Has Been Named the Fifteenth President of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey

Hilary L. Link was appointed the fifteenth president of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. Dr. Link will begin her new role on July 1.

“I am excited to step into the leadership of Drew University, a strong institution known for providing its students with a truly immersive learning experience and for a faculty distinctively dedicated to student success,” said Dr. Link. “The past several years have been particularly challenging for small liberal arts colleges, and I look forward to working with Drew’s faculty and staff across the university, including the College of Liberal Arts, Caspersen School of Graduate Studies, and Drew Theological School, to build on their tremendous work. I am eager to begin working with the entire Drew community to forge the university’s path into a vibrant and successful future.”

Drew University is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. It enrolls just over 1,600 undergraduate students and more than 600 graduate students, according to the most recent statistics available from the U.S. Department of education. Women make up 57 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Since 2019, Dr. Link has been the president of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. From 2013 to 2019, she served as dean of Temple University Rome. As the senior Temple University administrator in Rome, she was responsible for all aspects of the Rome campus, which enrolls more than 600 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. Earlier, Dr. Link was vice provost at Barnard College in New York City.

Dr. Link is a graduate of Stanford University where she double majored in art history and Italian. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. both in Italian language and literature from Yale University.
