Janet Curry Named Provost of Gordon College

Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, has chosen Janet Curry as its next provost. Gordon is an interdenominational Christian liberal arts college that enrolls about 1,600 students. More than 60 percent of the students at Gordon College are women.
Dr. Curry has been serving as the holder of the Byker Chair in Christian Perspectives on Political, Social, and Economic Thought at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. From 2000 to 2009 she was dean of research and scholarship at Calvin College.
Professor Curry is a graduate of Bethel College in Virginia. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in geography from the University of Minnesota.
