Dyann Margolis has been appointed assistant dean of academic success and bar programs at the College of Law at the University of Cincinnati. She has been serving as the assistant dean for academic and bar success at Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina.
Margolis holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She earned a juris doctorate from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
Monique Michelle Dozier was appointed vice chancellor for university advancement at the University of California, Riverside, effective August 1. She has been serving as vice president for advancement and chief advancement officer at Morehouse College in Atlanta. Prior to Morehouse College, Dozier worked for 13 years at Michigan State University in advancement roles.
Dozier attended Bethel University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems management.
Heather Christophersen will be the next vice president for human resources at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. She has served for the past three years as Notre Dame’s associate vice president for advancement services in the Office of Development.
Christophersen earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. She holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Nakita Haynie is the new director of the Emily Taylor Center for Women and Gender Equity at the University of Kansas. She has been on the staff at the university since 2016.
Haynie holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Clayton State University in Georgia, a master’s degree in higher education from Georgia Southern University, and a master of fine arts degree in writing from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Allison Morgan Bryant is the new chief of staff to the president of Howard University in Washington, D.C. She was also named assistant vice president of corporate relations. Dr. Morgan Bryant previously served as assistant dean of innovation and administration.
Dr. Morgan Bryant holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and analysis from Howard University. She earned a Ph.D. in information sciences and technology from Pennsylvania State University.
Tina Mammone will be the new chief nursing officer for the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, effective August 7. She has been serving as the chief nursing officer for the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Mammone earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Ottawa in Canada. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in nursing from the University of California, San Francisco.
Edvige Jean-François, an award-winning journalist, has been named as the inaugural executive director of the Center for Studies on Africa and Its Diaspora at Georgia State University. The center, which is focused on scholarship related to understanding the African diaspora and its contributions to our global society, was founded in 2020.
Jean-François is a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. She earned a master’s degree at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
