New Administrative Posts in Higher Education for Six Women

Sarah Chinniah has been appointed vice chancellor for business operations and strategic initiatives at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She has been serving as the vice president of administration and finance and chief financial officer at Northern Illinois University. She also has worked at the University of Chicago and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Chinniah is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, where she majored in speech pathology and audiology. She earned an MBA at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.

Carrie Castille was selected as the new senior vice chancellor/senior vice president for the Institute of Agriculture at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, effective July 1. She currently serves as director of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Dr. Castille is a graduate of the University of Louisiana Lafayette, where she majored in industrial engineering. She holds a master’s degree in environmental studies and a Ph.D. in renewable natural resources with an emphasis on environmental and public policy from Louisiana State University.

Amikaeyla Gaston was named director of recruitment for the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley. An award-winning jazz vocalist, Gaston is the founder of The International Cultural Arts and Healing Sciences Institute, as well as serving as executive director for World Trust Educational Services.

Gaston is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, where she majored in neuroscience.

Jana Rosinski is the inaugural instruction and education librarian for the Special Collections Research Center at Syracuse University in New York. Rosinski has been a curatorial assistant in the unit since 2019.

Rosinski holds a master’s degree in writing studies from Eastern Michigan University and is completing a Ph.D. in the composition and cultural rhetoric program at Syracuse.

Micki Kidder has been named vice president for undergraduate enrollment at the University of Notre Dame, effective July 1. She has been serving as vice president for university enterprises and events at the university. Kidder first joined the university in 2004, serving in roles in the Offices of the President and Executive Vice President.

Kidder is a graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a certified public accountant. She earned an MBA from Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business in 2019.

LaNiece R. Tyree is the new assistant vice president in the Office of Auxiliary Enterprises at Howard University in Washington, D.C. She is the former director of auxiliary services and event management for Prince George’s Community College in Largo, Maryland.

Tyree is a graduate of the University of Florida. She holds a master of public administration degree in human resources and nonprofit management from the University of West Florida in Pensacola.
