
When she takes office on July 1, Dr. Todd will become the first woman to lead the society in its 115-year history.
Dr. Todd was named dean of the Honors College at Marshall University in 2009. Previously, she was vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty at Ohio Dominican University in Columbus. She is a graduate of Valparaiso University in Indiana and holds a master’s degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago and a Ph.D. in American history from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
