Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, has appointed two women to dean positions on an interim basis. Two other women were named associate deans, also on an interim basis.
Janet Dooley was appointed interim dean of the W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Her appointment is effective July 1. She currently serves as assistant dean and has been on the faculty at Marshall since 1979.
Dooley is a summa cum laude graduate of Marshall University, where she majored in journalism. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee.
Deanna Mader has been chosen as interim dean of the College of Business at Marshall University. She will take on her new duties as of July 1. A professor of marketing, Dr. Mader has been serving as interim associate dean and director of recruitment and retention for the College of Business.
Dr. Mader holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Kentucky University. She holds a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Georgia.
Margie McInerney was named interim associate dean. She is a professor of management who has been on the faculty at Marshall for more than a quarter century.
Dr. McInerney is a graduate of the University of Akron. She holds an MBA from Marshall University and a Ph.D. from Ohio State University.
Jacqueline Agesa was named an interim associate dean. She serves as an associate professor of finance at the university. Dr. Agesa has been on the faculty at Marshall since 2000. Previously, she taught at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro.
Dr. Agesa holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.
