Three Women Scholars Who Have Been Appointed to University Dean Positions

Jane Endsley Wilson was appointed dean of the College of Allied Health at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Wilson has spent the last 25 years of her career at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in various teaching and administrative roles. Most recently, she served in the College of Pharmacy as associate dean for student affairs and associate professor.

Dr. Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene and a master’s degree in biology from Northeast Louisiana University. She holds a Ph.D. in applied allied health sciences from the University of Oklahoma.

Veronica McComb has been appointed dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island, effective July 1. Dr. McComb has been serving as dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Lenoir-Rhyne University, with three campus locations in North and South Carolina. Earlier in her career, she was a member of the faculty at Boston University and Wheelock College in Boston.

Dr. McComb is a graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where she majored in film and television studies. She earned a Ph.D. in American and New England studies from Boston University.

Erin Klingenberg was named interim dean of student affairs at Valley City State University in Valley City, North Dakota. Dr. Klingenberg has worked at the university since 1990, including the past 30 years as the director of counseling services.

Dr. Klingenberg is a graduate of Jamestown College in North Dakota. She earned master’s degrees in education from North Dakota State University and the University of North Dakota. Dr. Klingenberg earned a Ph.D. in human development and supervision from North Dakota State University.
