Five Women Earn Promotions at Bainbridge College in Georgia

Bainbridge College, a two-year, state-operated community college in southwest Georgia, has announced the promotions of 10 members of its faculty. Five of the 10 promotions went to women.
Carol Sinclair was named professor of English at the college. She joined the faculty at Bainbridge in 2001. Previously, she taught at Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College.
Professor Sinclair holds a bachelor’s degree from LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia. She earned a master’s degree from Georgia Southwestern College and a Ph.D. in English from Florida State University.
Jenny Harper was promoted from assistant to associate professor of biology. She joined the college’s faculty in 2008. She previously taught at Coastal Georgia Community College in Kingsland.
Dr. Harper is a graduate of Bainbridge College and earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Georgia. She holds a master’s degree in biology from Georgia Southern University and a doctorate in veterinary medical services from the University of Florida.
Carol Leggett was promoted to associate professor of biology. She also works part-time in the laboratories of Meredian Inc.
Dr. Leggett is a graduate of Valdosta State University in Georgia. She holds a master’s degree in immunology and a Ph.D. in biology from Florida State University.
Patricia Browers was promoted from instructor to assistant professor of practical nursing. She previously worked as a nurse at the Calhoun State Prison.
Browers is a graduate of Darton College in Albany, Georgia.
Andrea Ferguson was named an assistant professor of practical nursing. She teaches courses on pharmacology and nutrition.
A graduate of Southwest Georgia Technical College, she is completing a bachelor’s degree at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus.
