
McIntyre will serve a four-year term as vice president (2020), president-elect (2021), president (2022) and past-president (2023). Her first significant responsibility will be chairing the planning committee for the 2021 national conference to be held in Orlando, Florida. As a member of the executive committee, McIntyre will help implement a newly envisioned strategic plan to help guide the organization into its sixth decade in five key areas: Organizational Excellence, Professional Development, Research, Advocacy & Partnerships, and Diversity & Inclusion.
McIntyre has served in University Honors since 2007. Prior to her role in University Honors, she held various roles including undergraduate coordinator and assistant department head for the department of human nutrition, foods, and exercise in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
McIntyre received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Virginia Tech.
