Of the 12 New Full Professors at Boston University, Two Are Women

Boston University has announced the promotions of 12 faculty members to the rank of full professor. Two of the 12 promotions went to women.
Nazli Kibria was promoted to professor of sociology. She has been on the Boston University faculty since 1994. She is the author of Muslims in Motion: Islam and National Identity in the Bangladeshi Diaspora (Rutgers University Press, 2011).
Dr. Kibria is a graduate of Wellesley College. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Susan Fournier is a professor of marketing in Boston University’s School of Management. She is the co-editor of Consumer-Brand Relationships: Theory and Practice, which has recently been published by Routledge.
Professor Fournier is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She holds a master’s degree from Penn State and a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Florida.
