Martha Ann Todd Appointed President of Columbus Technical College in Georgia

Martha Ann Todd was appointed president of Columbus Technical College in Georgia. Since July 1, she has been serving as interim president.

Columbus Technical College enrolls just over 3,000 students, according to the latest data supplied to the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 66 percent of the student body.

Matt Arthur, the commissioner of the Technical College System of Georgia, stated that “Martha Ann has 40 years of experience in education and has held a range of leadership roles at the school, district and state levels. She is the right person to lead Columbus Technical College and reaffirm the college’s mission to develop a skilled workforce for business and industry in the region.”

“I am honored to have this opportunity to serve the Columbus Technical College communities, and I am looking forward to hearing from the businesses and industries in the area about how Columbus Tech can best meet the workforce needs,” said Todd on her appointment.

Todd has served as executive director of the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, associate superintendent of teacher and leader effectiveness at the Georgia Department of Education, and as assistant superintendent of Meriwether County Schools. Recently, she served as deputy commissioner of adult and technical education for the Technical College System of Georgia.

Todd is an alumna of Columbus State University.
