New Duties for 10 Women Faculty Members at Colleges and Universities

Ezgi Toraman is a new assistant professor of chemical engineering at Pennsylvania State Univerity. She holds a joint appointment in the department of energy and mineral engineering. Prior to joining the Penn State faculty, Dr. Toraman served as a postdoctoral researcher with the Delaware Energy Institute at the University of Delaware. Dr. Toraman’s research is in the field of chemical reaction engineering with a focus on understanding production processes for efficient and sustainable use of energy resources such as shale gas, biomass, and plastic waste.

Dr. Toraman holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Middle East Technical University in Turkey. She earned a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Ghent University in Belgium.

Regina Hamilton is a new assistant professor in the department of English at the University of Kentucky. Hamilton’s research explores 20th and 21st century African American literature.

Dr. Hamilton is a graduate of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina., where she majored in English. She earned a master’s degree in English at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and a Ph.D. in English language and literature at Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Kelly Collinsworth was appointed to the faculty at the University of South Dakota School of Law. She was an associate professor and coordinator of the legal studies program at Moorhead State Univerity in Kentucky.

Professor Collinsworth is a graduate of Georgetown College in Kentucky. She earned a juris doctorate at Ohio State University.

LaTasha Moody-Love has been named the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) professor of military science at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. For the majority of her military career, Lt. Colonel Moody-Love served in the Pacific theater.

Moody-Love is a graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, where she majored in anthropology with a minor in microbiology. She went on to earn a master’s degree in international relations from Troy University in Alabama.

Kim Langmaid was hired as an associate professor of sustainability studies at Colorado Mountain College. She is the founder of the Walking Mountains Science Center.

Dr. Langmaid earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at Colorado State University. She holds a master’s degree in environmental studies from Prescott College in Arizona and a Ph.D. in environmental studies from Antioch University New England.

Tiffany A. Butler, a teaching professor of biomedical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts, was appointed director of the university’s Office of Multicultural Affairs.

Dr. Butler is a graduate of Eastern University in St. David’s, Pennsylvania. She holds a master’s degree in athletic training and a Ph.D. in integrative exercise physiology from Temple University in Philadelphia.

Dana Stachowiak, an associate professor of curriculum and instruction in the Watson College of Education at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, has been given the added duties of director of the Women’s Studies and Resource Center at the university. Dr. Stachowiak, who joined the university’s faculty in 2016, will oversee the women’s and gender studies minor and post-baccalaureate certificate program.

Dr. Stachowiak earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Western Michigan University. She holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and a doctorate in educational studies, as well as a graduate certificate in women’s and gender studies, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro

Amanda Wilkerson is a new assistant professor of higher education and policy studies in the College of Community Innovation and Education at the University of Central Florida.

Dr. Wilkerson holds a doctorate in higher education and policy studies from the University of Central Florida.

Teresa Morgan, an acclaimed New Testament and early Christianity scholar, has accepted an appointment to the faculty at Yale Divinity School beginning in 2022. Currently, she is a professor of Graeco-Roman history at the University of Oxford in England. When she joins the faculty she will be the inaugural holder of McDonald Agape Professorship in New Testament and Early Christianity.

Professor Morgan is the author of several books including Roman Faith and Christian Faith: Pistis and Fides in the Early Roman Empire and Early Churches (Oxford University Press, 2015). She holds a master’s degree from Oxford and a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge.

Audrey Snyder, who spent the past five years as a faculty member at the University of Northern Colorado, where she helped create and develop its Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program, was appointed associate dean for experiential learning and innovation at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Nursing.

Dr. Snyder holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a Ph.D., all in nursing from the University of Virginia.
