Martha Ann Todd Selected to Take the Helm of Columbus Technical College in Georgia

Martha Ann Todd was appointed interim president of Columbus Technical College in Georgia. She took office on July 1 and will serve until a permanent president is appointed.

Columbus Technical College enrolls just over 3,000 students, according to the latest data supplied to the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 66 percent of the student body.

“I am honored to have this opportunity to serve the Columbus Technical College communities, and I am looking forward to hearing from the businesses and industries in the area about how Columbus Tech can best meet the workforce needs,” said Todd on her appointment.

Todd has had a career in education spanning 40 years. She has served as executive director of the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, associate superintendent of teacher and leader effectiveness at the Georgia Department of Education, and as assistant superintendent of Meriwether County Schools. Recently, she served as deputy commissioner of adult and technical education for the Technical College System of Georgia.

Todd is an alumna of Columbus State University.
