The California State University Systems reports that total enrollments in the current academic year are slightly more than 426,000 students. Of these, nearly 243,000, or 57 percent, are women. Women make up a majority of the students at 20 of the 23 CalState campuses. At 10 CalState campuses, women make up more than 60 percent of the total enrollments.
The highest percentage of women enrollments is at CalState Dominguez Hills where 66.1 percent of all students are women. At the Channel Island and Stanislaus campuses, women are 65 percent of the student bodies.
While women are 57 percent of all enrollments, they make up 61 percent of all students graduating from CalState campuses.
