Sheila Walker has been named the Laura Vausbinder Hockett Endowed Professor at Scripps College. She is a full professor of psychology and current chair of the Intercollegiate Department of Africana Studies. She has been a Scripps faculty member since 1993.
Dr. Walker is a graduate of American University. She holds a master’s degree from New York University and a Ph.D. from Cornell University.
Katerina Clark has been named the B.E. Bensinger Professor of Comparative Literature and Slavic Languages and Literatures at Yale University. She is the author of five books including: The Soviet Novel: History as Ritual (Indiana University Press, 2000), Petersburg: Crucible of Cultural Revolution (Harvard University Press, 1995) and Moscow, the Fourth Rome: Stalinism, Cosmopolitanism, and the Evolution of Soviet Culture, 1931-1941 (Harvard University Press, 2011).
Dr. Clark is a graduate of Melbourne University in Australia. She holds a Ph.D. from Yale University.
