The Next President of the National Association of School Psychologists

Lisa Kelly-Vance, professor of psychology and director of the school psychology graduate program at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, has been elected president of the National Association of School Psychologists. She will begin her term as president in July.

The National Association of School Psychologists, based in Bethesda, Maryland, is a professional association that represents more than 25,000 school psychologists, graduate students, and related professionals throughout the United States and 25 other countries. The world’s largest organization of school psychologists works to advance effective practices to improve students’ learning, behavior, and mental health.

Professor Kelly-Vance’s research is focused on play assessment and intervention in early childhood; summer reading programs; and animal assisted reading interventions. She is a graduate of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from Indiana University.
