New Administrative Duties for Seven Women at Colleges and Universities

Nicki Moore has been chosen as the next director of athletics at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. Since 2015, she has been associate athletic director and senior woman administrator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Earlier, she was an athletic administrator at the University of Oklahoma for 11 years.

Dr. Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education, a master’s degree, and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology, all from the University of Missouri.

Michelle Deutchman was named the inaugural executive director of the National Center for Free Speech and Civic Engagement at the University of California Irvine. She has been serving as the national campus counsel for the Anti-Defamation League. She has also served as a lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.

A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Deutchman earned her law degree at the University of Southern California.

Marissa E. Comer was appointed chief of staff and secretary to the board of trustees at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. She was director of research and operations for AGB Search in Washington, D.C.

Cormier is a graduate of The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and holds an MBA and a master’s degree in human resources management from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Rossanna Contreras-Godfrey was appointed director of the Office of Learning to Learn at Boston College. The office includes student support services and the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate programs. She has been serving as interim director and has been on the staff at the college since 1997.

Dr. Contreras-Godfrey holds a bachelor’s degree and a doctorate in higher education administration from Boston College. She also earned a master’s degree at Boston University.

Jeanne M. Ryan was named associate director and director of clinical services at the University of Massachusetts Health Services. She was director of hospice quality, education, and compliance for VNA Care, Hospice and Palliative Care in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Ryan is a graduate of Stony Brook University in New York, where she majored in psychology. She holds an MBA from Bay Path College in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and a master of occupational therapy degree from New York University.

Fatimah Stone was appointed interim director of the Office of Equity and Inclusion at the University of Delaware. She is an assistant general counsel at the university and previously was the senior associate director of the Office of Equity and Inclusion.

Stone is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. She earned her law degree at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Melissia Zanjani was named vice president for institutional advancement at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. Since 2016, she has been vice president for institutional advancement at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Dr. Zanjani is a graduate of Chatham University in Pittsburgh. She holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Oregon State University.
