One Woman Among the Four Finalists for Chancellor of the Tri-Cities Campus of Washington State University

Washington State University has announced a field of four candidate to become chancellor of the Tri-Cities campus in Richmond. The Tri-Cities campus enrolls nearly 2,000 students. More than 70 percent of the students are enrolled in STEM-related academic disciplines. The campus offers 20 undergraduate and 33 graduate degree programs.

The four candidates will all visit the Tri-Cities campus and the main campus at Pullman by December 5 for a series of interviews and public forums. One of the four finalists is a woman.

Sandra Haynes is deputy provost for academic and student affairs at Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. Earlier in her career, Dr Haynes served for 13 years as dean of the College of Professional Studies at Metropolitan State University. Dr. Haynes earned a Ph.D. in psychology at Colorado State University.
