Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina, Promotes and Grants Tenure to Three Women

Jeanne Gunther was promoted to associate professor of education. She joined the faculty at the university in 2011 and currently serves as the coordinator for the early childhood education program. Gunther is a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia. She holds a master’s degree in education from the University at Albany of the State University of New York System.

Julia Mixon was named an associate professor of art and granted tenure. She is a former faculty member at Lenoir Community College in Kinston, North Carolina. Mixon earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina, and a master of fine arts degree in photography from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.

Regina Yanson was promoted to associate professor of management. She joined the Francis Marion University faculty in 2011. Dr. Yanson is a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia, where she majored in economics. She holds an MBA from Niagara University in New York, and a Ph.D. in organizational studies from the University at Albany.
