Katy Smith Abbott, vice president for student affairs and dean of the college at Middlebury College in Vermont, has announced that she will leave these positions at the end of the calendar year. She will continue to teach at the college as a professor of art history.
Dr. Smith Abbott joined the faculty at Middlebury College in 1996. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in art history from Indiana University in Bloomington.
Maridith Walker Geuder, executive director of university relations at the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, has announced that she will retire on September 30. She has served as the director of marketing and communication strategies for the university for the past five years.
Geuder holds a bachelor’s degree from Millsaps College and a master’s degree in English from the University of Alabama.
Sandy Hatfield Clubb, director of athletics at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, has stepped down from her post to take a position with the Pictor Group, an intercollegiate athletics consulting firm. Before coming to Drake in 2006, Hatfield Clubb was senior associate athletics director at Arizona State University.
Hatfield Clubb earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in education from the University of Texas-El Paso.
