Aparna Baskaran is an associate professor of physics at Brandeis. Dr. Baskaran’s research interests include understanding out-of-equilibrium properties of soft materials and physics of biological systems. Dr. Baskaran holds a master’s degree in physics from Pondicherry University in India. She earned a Ph.D. in physics at the University of Florida.
Jennifer Marusic is an associate professor of philosophy. Her research is focused on the history of modern philosophy and the history and philosophy of science. Dr. Marusic is a graduate of Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Avital Rodal is an associate professor of biology. Her research is focused on understanding how neurons set up elaborate structures that are tailored to send and receive electrical signals over large distances and through complex networks of connections. Dr. Rodal holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Anna Scherbina is an associate professor of finance at the university’s International Business School. Her research concerns asset pricing, behavioral finance, and real estate. Dr. Scherbina is a graduate of New York University and holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University in Illinois.
