A new study by Breitbart News finds that women graduates of many of the nation’s most elite educational institutions earn far less than the men who graduated with them. And the gender gap at these elite institutions is greater than the overall gender pay gap between men and women in the United States.
The study examined earnings for men and women graduates of Ivy league and other elite universities when they had reached the age of 34. The data shows that women graduates of Duke University made only 67 cents on the dollar compared to men who graduated from Duke. At Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania, women earned only 69 cents for every dollar earned by men who graduated from those institutions. Women graduates of Dartmouth, Columbia, and Cornell earned only 70 percent of what was earned by male graduates of those institutions.
Remember, that nationwide, women earn about 78 cents for every dollar earned by men.
According to the Breitbart survey of the graduates of the nation’s highest ranked universities, women graduates of the University of Chicago earned the most in relation to men graduates of the same institution. But even there, women graduates earned only 79 cents for every dollar earned by men who graduated from the University of Chicago.
