Sally Roush to Lead San Diego State University

Sally RoushThe chancellor of the California State University System has named Sally Roush as interim president of San Diego State University. The university enrolls nearly 30,000 undergraduate students and 5,000 graduate students. Women make up 54 percent of the student body.

Roush will being her term as interim president on July 1 and is expected to stay in that role for one year. Rouch joined the staff at San Diego State in 1982 as director of personnel services. In 1994, she was promoted to senior vice president for business and financial affairs. She retired in 2013 after 31 years of service to the university.

Since retiring, Roush has served as interim vice chancellor and chief financial officer for the state university system and as a special consultant for California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and for Sonoma State University.
