Penny Rosenthal is the new director of the Women’s Center at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston. She was an assistant professor of counseling and student personnel at Minnesota State University, Mankato. From 2001 to 2011, Dr. Rosenthal was director of the Women’s Center at Iowa State University.
Dr. Rosenthal holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Minnesota State University, Mankato and earned a doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies from Iowa State University.
Susan Basso was named senior vice president for talent, culture, and human resources at Ohio State University, effective September 5. She has been serving as vice president for human resources at Pennsylvania State University. Earlier, she held human resource executive positions at Seton Hall University and East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
Basso is a graduate of Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, where she majored in psychology. She holds a master’s degree in human resources administration from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania.
Dana J. Royer was appointed senior vice president and chief communications officer at Syracuse University in New York. She has been serving as chief development and marketing officer for Mercy Corps, a global humanitarian organization.
Royer is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, where she majored in history. She began her career as a producer of television news.

Professor Aldana is a graduate of Arizona State University and Harvard Law School.

Williams is a native of Spokane, Washington. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Walla Walla University in Washington.

Dr. Monago holds a bachelor’s degree and a master of public administration degree from Kent State University in Ohio. She earned a Ph.D. in communications studies from Bowling Green State University.

Dr. Stevenson is a graduate of North Carolina State University, where she majored in psychology. She hold a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in human development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Hasselbacher is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she majored in legal studies and earned a certificate in women’s studies. She earned her law degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
