Jennifer Orlikoff Named President of Potomac State College in West Virginia

Jennifer Orlikoff was named president of Potomac State College in Keyser, a regional campus of West Virginia University. She has been serving in the post on an interim basis since July 1.
The college, in the northeastern section of the state near the Maryland border, enrolls more than 1,500 undergraduate students in 57 associate degree and three bachelor’s degree programs. Women make up 55 percent of the student body.
Before being named interim president in July, Dr. Orlikoff was serving as an associate professor of French and director of the Center for Women and Gender Studies at West Virginia University’s flagship campus in Morgantown. She joined the faculty at the university in 2008 and has served as president of the faculty senate.
Dr. Orlikoff is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in French language and literature from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
