

Currently, the program is designed to help women at Ohio University who are early in their careers, or within the first three years of professional employment. As the program grows, Murray expects it to develop with a broader scope and to become tailored to different staff and faculty roles, as well as for individuals who have served Ohio University for longer than three years.
Murray added that “there are so many wonderful opportunities at this university, which we want to connect people with, while working with them to build confidence and define their own goals for career advancement.”
Dr. Murray has been director of the Women’s Center at Ohio University since 2012. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, a master of public policy degree with a concentration in women’s studies from George Washington University, and a Ph.D. in women’s wtudies from the University of York in England.
