Four Women Scholars Appointed to Endowed Chairs at Major Universities

Lee_Urology-Chair_mediabioCheryl Taylore Lee was appointed to the Dorothy M. Davis Chair in Cancer Research at the Ohio State University Medical Center. She will also chair the department of urology. She was the Robert H. and Eva M. Moyad Research Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Lee is a graduate of Albany Medical College in New York and completed her residency at the University of Michigan.

interior-kurthAnn Kurth, dean of the Yale School of Nursing, was named the inaugural Linda Koch Professor of Nursing at Yale. Before joining the faculty at Yale earlier this year, she was a professor of nursing, medicine, and public health at New York University.

Dr. Kurth is a graduate of Princeton University in New Jersey. She holds a master’s degree in nursing from Yale University, a master of public health degree from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Washington.

dubeOeindrila Dube has been appointed the Philip K. Pearson Professor of Global Conflict Studies in the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. She has been teaching politics and economics at New York City.

Dr. Dube is a graduate of Stanford University in California. As a Rhodes Scholar, she earned a master’s degree in economics at the University of Oxford. Dr. Dube holds a Ph.D. in public policy from Harvard University.

Angela_Dills-Angela K. Dills was named the inaugural Gimelstob-Landry Distinguished Professor in Regional Economic Development at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina. She was an associate professor of economics and associate director of the Center for Teaching Excellence at Providence College in Rhode Island.

Professor Dills is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she majored in economics and Spanish. She holds a master’s degree in political economy and a Ph.D. in economics from Boston University.
