Vittoria Di Palma Wins a Book Award From the Society of Architectural Historians

Vittoria Di PalmaVittoria Di Palma, an associate professor of the history and theory of architecture in the School of Architecture at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, received the Elisabeth Blair MacDougall Book Award from the Society of Architectural Historians. The award honors the best book on the history of landscape architecture or garden design. Dr. Di Palma was honored for her book Wasteland: A History (Yale University Press, 2014).wasteland

Dr. Di Palma joined the faculty at the University of Southern California in 2012. Previously, she taught in the department of art history and archaeology at Columbia University in New York City and in the department of art history at Rice University in Houston.

Dr. Di Palma is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. She holds two master’s degrees and a Ph.D. from Columbia University.
