In Memoriam: Pauline Henderson Turner, 1937-2016

unmPauline “Polly” Turner, a long-time faculty member in the College of Education at the University of New Mexico, died at her home on January 26. She was 78 years old.

A native of Ralph, Alabama, Dr. Turner earned a Ph.D. in child development and early childhood education from the University of Texas at Austin. She joined the faculty at the University of New Mexico in 1977 and served as a professor of family studies until her retirement.

Dr. Turner was president of the faculty senate at the University of New Mexico from 1984 to 1985.
