Maria Torres has joined the faculty at the Smith College School of Social Work in Northampton, Massachusetts. She was a lecturer and senior research associate in the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Dr. Torres is a graduate of Simmons College in Boston. She holds a master’s degree from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a Ph.D. in social policy from Brandeis University.
Dr. Monson is a graduate of Stanford University, where she majored in English. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in African history from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Kate Ryan Reiling is the inaugural entrepreneur-in-residence at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. She will teach one course each semester and coordinate all of the college’s entrepreneurial programs. She is the founder of the company Morphology Games and most recently was a senior executive at InboxDollars, a tech start-up firm.
Reiling is a graduate of Macalester College, where she majored in political science and was an All-American soccer player. She earned an MBA at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Kendra Sharp was appointed the inaugural Richard and Gretchen Evans Professor in Humanitarian Engineering at Oregon State University. She has been a professor of mechanical engineering at the university since 2010.
Dr. Sharp is a graduate of the University of Illinois. She holds master’s degrees from the University of Cambridge in England and the University of California, Berkeley. She returned to the University of Illinois to obtain her Ph.D.
Maya Steinitz was promoted to full professor and granted tenure at the Iowa College of Law. Professor Steinitz joined the faculty at the University of Iowa in 2011 after serving on the faculty at Columbia Law School in New York City.
