In Memoriam: Michele Leonardi Darby, 1950-2015

darbyMichele L. Darby, former chair of the Gene W. Hirschfeld School of Dental Hygiene at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, died on February 5 after a long illness. She was 64 years old.

Professor Darby retired from the university in 2013 where she was an Eminent Scholar and professor of dental hygiene.

Professor Darby joined the faculty at Old Dominion University in 1974 as an assistant professor. She held bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Columbia University in New York.
