Cathy Dove Named President of Paul Smith’s College in Upstate New York

DoveCathy Dove was named the 10th president of Paul Smith’s College in Paul Smith’s, New York. When she takes office on September 1, Dr. Dove with be the first woman to lead the educational institution since its founding in 1946. The college enrolls more than 1,000 undergraduate students. It offers degree programs in hospitality, culinary arts, forestry, natural resources, and the sciences. Women make up only one third of the student body.

Since 2012, Dr. Dove has served as vice president of Cornell Tech in New York City. Earlier she was associate dean of the College of Engineering and, before that, associate dean at the Graduate School of Management at Cornell.

Dr. Dove is a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She earned an MBA at Cornell University and a doctorate in higher education administration at the University of Pennsylvania.
