Zarina Blankenbaker has been named vice chancellor for student success at Tarrant County College in Texas. In this role, she will serve as the chief academic officer and provost for the community college’s online campus and in-person locations in Hurst, Arlington, and Fort Worth.
Dr. Blankenbaker assumes her new responsibilities while maintaining her current post as president of the Tarrant County College Northwest campus. Before beginning her presidency in June 2017, she was executive vice president of academic affairs and student success at Richland College in Dallas. She has nearly three decades of experience in higher education, including service in both faculty and administrative roles.
Dr. Blankenbaker received her bachelor’s degree in secondary education and her master’s degree in applied linguistics from Indiana University. She holds a Ph.D. in higher education administration from the University of North Texas.
