The West Virginia University Foundation has created a new entity in an effort to enhance the participation of alumnae in the university’s fundraising activities. The Women of WVU Leadership Council seeks to encourage networking and to enhance the alumnae experience with current members of the university community. Jo Statler, chair of the Women of WVU Leadership Council, stated, “In addition to benefiting the university we love, Women of WVU will create opportunities to establish valuable connections and better the experience for female students at WVU.”
Women can join the organization for $100. The dues will support the Women Students’ Emergency Fund and the WoW Fund for financing larger projects of interest to the Leadership Council.
